I thought I would start with a post that was all about me... so that you could get to know a little bit about me.

I was born in Maryland, but my life was spent in various places. My pops was in the US Air Force, so we moved every few years. My childhood was spent in Maryland, Nevada, Virginia, New Mexico, Hawaii, and then back to New Mexico. I had a childhood filled with a wide variety of experiences... some of which I'll get into in later posts.

I joined the military in 1996, at the age of 19. I went from training in Texas to schools in California and Texas and then I was stationed in Maryland.

I got married, had a baby, got divorced, and remarried during my six year enlistment in the USAF.

When I remarried, I got it right... and we're still together, and will celebrate our 24th anniversary this year!

I married a military man... so the traveling adventures continued. We went from Maryland to California, to Japan, back to California and then here... Georgia. My husband retired from the military, and we've settled into a little town in Georgia that we love.

So, that's my geographic history.

A little bit deeper...

I am number two in the line-up of three children. I am your classic middle child. Just ask my siblings... that is, if they remember I'm still here.

I had a good childhood. I was loved and safe... and we had fun in our home! Everywhere we lived my mama made sure that we learned about where we lived, and the people who called that place home. My life was filled with laughter, love, and adventure.

It's not to say that there weren't obstacles... trials... tribulations if you will, but my parents loved us more than anything, and my young years were good.

There will be a lot of things that I pour onto these pages in the near future that are MY experiences. They belong to no one but me... yes, other people were there and contributed to my my experiences, but I will never speak to what they went through... Only what I went through.

Now... Five facts about me that you should know. Each of these will be their own future posts, but these are some of the things that make me, ME.

1. I'm a synesthete... I have several different types, but the one that affects me the most is my chromesthesia synesthesia.

2. AuDHD... I am a woman who was late in life diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. Getting this diagnosis, and the research that followed, explained a LOT about why I was and am the way I was and am.

3. "Without music, life would be a mistake." -Fredrick Nietzsche No explanation needed... Music is vital to my existence.

4. I will go to the ends of the earth for those I love... sometimes to my own detriment.

5. I love learning new things! Hence this endeavor... a website, blog, and eventually an online shop, to share my experiences... both successes and failures... as I dive into all the things that interest me!
